A 17th century Charles II Silver Tumbler CupSOLD

This exceptionally rare 17th century Charles II Tumbler Cup was made in London, 1683. It has a very distinctive snakeskin (Or mattwork) around the body which is still in remarkable condition when you consider the age of the piece. There still remains a hint of the original silver gilt on the border and the inside of the Tumbler Cup.

The condition is excellent, however the marks are rubbed and there doesn't appear to be a makers mark although the lion/leopards head and a partial date letter are visible.

The tumbler cup measures 3.5cm tall and 5cm wide and wieghs 20g.

Type: cup
Function: Barware
Country: England
