A Victorian Silver Plate Gallery Tray by Walker and Hall.SOLD

This beautiful Engraved, Victorian Silver Plate Gallery Tray was made by Walker & Hall c1870.

The tray is of a good size, with beading on the handles, and a lovely pierced gallery. The engraving is also very nice, and in all this is a wonderful piece of quality Victorian silver plate. Victorian Silver Plate trays of this period are often lovely quality, but this is an especially good example. It is somewhat rarer and substantially more desirable to have a gallery tray than a normal flat sided example.

Walker and Hall are well respected makers of the 19th and 20th century, and this piece demonstrates the quality for which they were famous.

It is in excellent condition with no damage or repair and measures 54cm in length and 34cm in width. The plate is in excellent order, having been re-plated to a very high standard. It has a good set of plate marks for Walker and Hall.
