A Nuremberg Silver Wine Taster 17th Century: c1650SOLD

This stunning piece of Early German silver was made in Nuremberg c1650 by Thomas Stoer De Jungere and is quite beautiful.

This wonderful piece of early German silver is silver gilt, and has charming baroque chasing so evocative of this period. It is of good size, and excellent quality.

The wine taster measures 12cm long by just under 4cm tall excluding the handles.

The condition of this piece is really very fine. The gilding is the original mercury gilding, soft and pale, wearing just slightly on the high points. The taster has a beautiful antique patina, and has no damage or repair.
