An Antique Ottoman Silver filigree BoxSOLD
This pretty little silver box was made in the Ottoman territory, although I cannot be certain where. It is not North African, but may possibly be Armenian or Greek silver. It bears no hallmarks (and there is nowhere it could be marked, being filigree!). It is of lovely quality, although there is a slight area of damage by the hinge which I have photographed. I feel the box is 19th century but could possibly be a little earlier.
It measures aproximately 6.75cm length and weighs 48g.
