A Pair of Post War Silver Candlesticks by Leslie DurbinSOLD
This beautiful pair of Post War Silver candlesticks were made by the renowned silversmith Leslie Durbin. They are marked for London 1973. They feature three salmon swimming in and out of river weeds. The sconce is glass, and represents the surface of the water!
Leslie Durbin is one of the most respected figures of 20th Sentury silversmithing and 20th Century Design. Originally trained by to Omar Ramsden, he had a prolific and long lasting career which spanned most of the 20th century.
These candlesticks are rare and wonderful, excellent examples of Post War silver in Britain. Ideal for a collector of Post War Silver or 20th Century design, or just as stunning decorative objects.
