An 18th Century French Beaker: Paris 1777SOLD
This beautiful little 18th century French silver Beaker was made in Paris in 1777 and is of lovely quality. It stands approximately 6.5 cm tall and is 7cm wide. It weighs 73g.
French silver of this period is rather rare, as subsiquently there were, of course, a number of revolutions and wars, during which much silver was melted down. This makes pre-revolution silver quite scarce and hard to come by! This charming little beaker has survived in excellent condition with no damage or repair, and bears the original owner's initials- BP.
