A Silver Cutlery Set of Irish Bright Cut Dessert SpoonsSOLD

These Bright Cut Irish silver spoons were made in Dublin 1809. They are in the Celtic Point pattern, which is a variation of the Old English pattern, but with a more pronounced point at the end. They also have the very characteristic Irish bright cutting known as Dublin Star Cut silver.

They each bear a fine heraldic engraving of a lion rampant. They are all sterling silver spoons, in excellent condition with fine engraving. The engraving is quite sharp, and I consider it to be later than the spoons themselves. It is in really super condition, and my suspicion is that it was added when the spoons changed owner, and the new owner added his crest.

Type: Spoon
Function: Dining
Country: Irish
