An Antique French Silver Wine Taster or silver TastevinSOLD
This Antique French Silver Tastevin or wine taster is of elegant and typical form, and lovely quality. It is of the higher .950 standard, and made circa 1850. Despite this late date it bears an engraving which purports to be from 1791, but this has been added later to give a false impression of an earlier date.
The Antique Silver tastevin is of good quality, rather crudely but heavily made, and of excellent gauge. It bears Paris marks for the mid 19th century.
