This Georgian Silver wine funnel is Georgian, and made by the renowned Hester Bateman. Hester Bateman was known as the "Queen of English Silversmithing", and a well respected and prolific maker of the late 18th century.
This Georgian silver wine funnel is of lovely quality and charming design. The marks on the body are quite rubbed, but they are still readable. The date letter is G, for 1782. Hester Bateman's own makers mark is on the body and also on the funnel itself.
