A Spanish Colonial 17th Century Silver Chrismatory
This wonderful and idiosyncratic object is a silver Chrismatory- a silver receptacle for Holy Oils. It is Spanish, or Spanish Colonial, and made in the mid to late 17th century.
This 17th Century Spanish or Spanish Colonial Silver Chrismatory is in excellent condition with no damage or repair. It has a beautiful antique patina, and is of good gauge and very well made.
17th Century silver is, of course, extremely rare. It has no hallmarks, and I can not say if it is Spanish or Spanish Colonial. It could be either.
A beautiful piece of 17th century silver.
