A Georg Jensen Silver Tea Caddy design 49aSOLD

This Georg Jensen Silver tea caddy was made in Copenhagen between 1926 and 1930. It is of a very rare design, number 49, which is one of Georg Jensen's own designs. It is of lovely quality, hand made and bearing a charming wooden finial which beautifully echoes the form of the caddy itself.

The Georg Jensen Silver tea caddy is marked underneath with two Georg Jensen marks- "Georg Jensen" in an oval punch, surmounted with a crown, which was used between 1926 and 1932, and "GJ 925 S" in an oval punch, which was used between 1922 and 1930. Therefore this piece was made some time between 1926 and 1930.

The Georg Jensen silver tea caddy is in excellent condition with no damage or repair.

A fine and collectable piece of Estate Georg Jensen silver. A very rare Georg Jensen design, and a fine piece of vintage silver.
