A Bernadotte Pattern Georg Jensen Silver SpoonSOLD

This Georg Jensen Silver spoon was made in the Bernadotte Pattern. A fine example of Danish Art Deco Silver, the Bernadotte Pattern is one of Georg Jensen's more prolific patterns, and is thus reasonably easy to collect.

The Bernadotte Pattern Silver Table Spoon measures 19.7cm and is both heavy and fine quality. It bears the Georg Jensen Silver marks for Denmark, post 1945. It is showing light wear as one would expect of a piece of cutlery which has been used, but it is fair to describe it as in excellent used condition. A beautiful silver Dinner Spoon in the Art Deco Style, by Georg Jensen Silver.

Bernadotte Pattern is named after its creator, Sigvurd Bernadotte, who was prince of Sweden before renouncing his Royal title when marrying a commoner. His work is perhaps the quintessential example of Georg Jensen work in the Art Deco style.
