A Georg Jensen Large Butter Knife In the Akkeleje Pattern
This Akkeleje Pattern large butter knife was designed by Georg Jensen in 1918, and a fine example of Georg Jensen's Art Nouveau silver flatware.
This knife is hallmarked for Denmark and with English import marks, and both of the blade and handle are sterling silver. It is also marked for Georg Jensen.
Georg Jensen silverware in the Akkeleje Pattern is reasonably uncommon, although it is a beautiful design. This knife is all sterling, and feels wonderful in the hand. Vintage Georg Jensen is valuable of course, and this design is no exception.
A beautiful example of Georg Jensen Estate silverware.
