An Arts and Crafts Silver Salt Cellar by D.S.C.G
This charming Arts and Crafts sterling silver salt cellar was made by D.S.C.G, in Birmingham 1910. It bears full hall marks including its characteristic maker’s mark, a crown above the letters D.S.C.G. This hand-hammered salt cellar is an excellent example of Arts and crafts silver.
D.S.C.G was founded in 1898, aiming at social reform, and started Art metalwork in 1902. Designs were often inspired or copied from historical example.
It is 9.3cm diameter, and weighs 105g approx.
