A Pair of Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Wine Coasters
A fine pair of Georgian Old Sheffield Plate wine coasters, made around the late 18th century/early 19th century. The central bosses are crested. On the side is stamped 'silver edged', which means the mounts and edges are made of solid silver. They have been replated once and are in good condition.
The coasters come with a pair of Georgian style crystal decanters, which are dated around the late 19th century.
The coasters measure 16.5 centimetres (6.5 inches) in diameter and the decanters measure 10 centimetres (3.9 inches) in diameter at the base.
