A Rare Regency Travelling Ink WellSOLD
This is a really superb piece of Georgian collectible silver. It is the earliest travelling ink well I have ever seen, 1824 by J Riley. It is in the regency style, and of simply superb quality and condition- mint! It is silver gilt, in the high regency style, and bears a barons coronet with a Georgian cypher. A wonderful piece in excellent condition with no damage or repair. I consider the winner of this auction to be very lucky, as it is no exaggeration to say this piece is of museum quality.
