A first Period Old Sheffield Plate Jug or EwerSOLD
This is a beautiful first period Old Sheffield Plated water jug or wine ewer made circa 1775, and in lovely original condition. It is bleeding just on the high points, and has wonderful beaded borders all over. The detailing of the handle is rather better than normal, and both the wooden handle and the silvered body have a beautiful patina and aged colour. It stands 12 inches tall and is in lovely condition, with a few very minor and tiny nicks and knocks commensurate with age.
