An Art Nouveau Sugar Caster by Evald Nilsen

This Danish silver sugar caster is of excellent quality. It was made in Copenhagen in 1927 by Evald Nilsen. It is hand made, with wonderful hammer marks throughout, and a very elegant shape. The lid is pierced with a complimentary design.

This is a large and well made piece of Art Nouveau silver, standing 175mm approx. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repair. It is solid silver, and both functional and elegant. A very good example of Scandinavian "Skonvirke"silver: the Danish answer to mainland European Art Nouveau.
